Working with the Fascia
Working with our Fascia means working with the quality of our bodies connective tissue. Fascia is a thin casing of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fiber and muscle in place. It provides our internal structure and is the ultimate connective tissue. It literally connects everything in our bodies and allows us to move with these connections. If our fascia is healthy and elastic we experience a lot of space and range of motion in the body. But if our Fascia is stiff, constricted and tensed we lose our mobility and often experience a lot of tightness and tension in the body.
In the sessions of this weekend we will focus on improving the quality of our fascial layers through different ways of movement and techniques. We will move through different sequences and explore different methods to wake up and stretch the fascia to create more connectivity and mobility throughout the body. Creating more bodyawareness and finding more space and softness from within. We can use Fascia Release (a self massage method to relax our connective tissue) to release the tension that is stored into our physical bodies. A practical tool that can support you for the rest of your life. If your Fascia is healthy and fluid, it will support you throughout your life to maintain a sustainable body for the future.
